In 2008, the Wyoming State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) began scanning photographs and negatives associated with the National Register of Historic Places program administered through the office. Since then, more than 8,000 images representing some of the most important cultural resources in Wyoming were scanned and made available to the public online through the Luna Imaging, Inc. software.
The Wyoming Cultural Resource Information System (WYCRIS) is an online collection of databases, both GIS and non-spatial, which contain recorded cultural resources and previous cultural resource inventories.
The Wyoming State Historic Preservation Office (SHPO) compiles self-nominated directories of cultural resource professionals and architects who specialize in historic preservation. SHPO does not permit or license consultants and makes no endorsement of any particular consultant.
