The Wyoming Cultural Records Office (WYCRO) collects and manages cultural resource information for the state of Wyoming. In accordance with Wyoming Statute (W.S. 36-4-106 (d) [i-vii]), both digital and papers documents are stored at the University of Wyoming. WYCRO provides this information to federal agencies, cultural resource management firms, researchers, and other parties through online GIS and non-spatial databases. Official file search requests are now submitted through the WyoTrack application. To request access to WyoTrack visit the WyoTrack page, complete a user application form and complete the sign up process detailed in the WyoTrack sign up guide. Instructions for submitting a file search are detailed in the WyoTrack user manual that can be found in the "Getting Started" section. Official file search fees are listed below in the "Fees" section.
In addtion to official file searches WYCRO can also provide GIS and tabular data clips. These data clips are often useful in the early planning process. To submit a GIS and tabular data request visit the WyoTrack page and complete the GIS data use agreement form. Fees associated with GIS and tabluar data request are detailed in the "Fees" section below.

*Non-compliance based research is considered any research conducted by a professional archaeologist, professor, or student that is not related to a Federal Project/Undertaking that would require the Section 106 Review Process (see 36 CFR Part 800 of the ACHP regulations).

As of May 6, 2019, the Wyoming Cultural Properties forms should be submitted through WyoTrack on-line. The on-line versions of the forms are the Wyoming State Historic Preservation Office's (WYSHPO) submission standard. Printed versions of the form completed in WyoTrack should be submitted along with the Class II or Class III report to the appropriate federal agency. WyoTrack is a web application that provides access to the Wyoming Cultural Records Office GIS and non-spatial data. In addition this application allows tracking of projects through the section 106 process. To request access please complete the user application below. WyoTrack is managed by the Cultural Records office.
